About Band, Phchess, and Norway

So how do you all think the band is sounding this year? Is it fun? Do you play fun music? For me, percussion is okay, but far more mediocre than the last 2 years, where everything we did was fun. Other than that, the music is good. I liked playing the sweet Toms part for my percussion ensemble. That was fun!

Phchess - What's going on with that game? I know I shouldn't be asking this, I am one of the makers of this game, but whatever. I heard that some of the people wanted to make it an official club. What do you think of that? Should we change the name as to not have so much confusion? I just think it would be really weird.

Norway!!! Jeannine (....nnnn.n.n...n) says hi to you all. (She's Bryan(from Norway)'s long lost sister. So there really isn't a question here about Norway or anything. I just wanted to say Norway is awesome!!!

School - Senior Year

So, now that we've all had a chance to go through some school, what are your guys' favorite and least favorite classes? How does it feel to be a senior? And what are your goals for the year?

In reply and response

I'm not feeling real huge on the latest stuff, so I really kinda shuffle through old favorites. At the moment, my favorite would have to be Angel Eyes at this moment. It'll prolly change in the next five minutes.

Last night I was taking a walk along the river
And I saw him together with a young girl
And the look that he gave her made me shiver
'Cause he always used to look at me that way
And I thought maybe I should walk right up to her and say
"It's a game he likes to play."

Look into his angeleyes
One look and you're hypnotized
He'll take your heart and you must pay the price
Look into his angeleyes
You'll think you're in paradise
And one day you'll find out he wears a disguise
Don't look too deep into those angeleyes
Oh no no no no

Sometimes when I'm lonely I sit and think about him
And it hurts to remember all the good times
When I thought I could never live without him
And I wonder does it have to be the same
Every time when I see him,
Will it bring back all the pain?
Ah-ha-ha, how can I forget that name?

Look into his angeleyes
One look and you're hypnotized
He'll take your heart and you must pay the price
Look into his angeleyes
You'll think you're in paradise
And one day you'll find out he wears a disguise
Don't look too deep into his angeleyes
Crazy 'bout his angeleyes

Once he took my heart and now I pay the price

Alright, so I've changed it five times while just writing this post alone...there's also 100 years, For Good, Eight Days a Week, I Walked Away, and a billion other songs. So...good luck with that

What's your newest favorite song?

I realized that it's been 21 days since anyone last did anything for this blog.... I couldn't just let it sit there like that! So anyway, I just thought I'd ask: what's your newest favorite song?

Mine is "Lesson's Learned" by Carrie Underwood. It's got an uplifting and hopeful beat to it, and it's pretty darn catchy!

There's some things that I regret,
Some words I wish had gone unsaid,
Some starts that had some better endings.
Been some bad times I've been through,
Damage I cannot undo,
Some things I wish I could do all all over again.
But it don't really matter,
When life gets that much harder,
It makes you that much stronger.
Oh, some pages turned, Some bridges burned,
But there were lessons learned.

And every tear that had to fall from my eyes,
Everyday I wonder how I get through the night,
Every change life has thrown me.
I'm thankful for every break in my heart.
I'm grateful for every start.
Some pages turned, Some bridges burned,
But there were lessons learned.

There's mistakes that I have made,
Some chances I just threw away,
Some roads I never should've taken.
Been some signs I didn't see,
Hearts that I hurt needlessly,
Some wounds
That I wish I could have one more chance to mend,
But it don't make no difference,
The past can't be rewritten.
You get the life you're given,
Oh, some pages turned, Some bridges burned,
But there were lessons learned.

[chorus]

And all the things that break you,
All the things that make you strong,
You can't change the past, 'cause it's gone,
And you just gotta move on
Because it's all lessons learned.

[chorus]

Oh, some pages turned, Some bridges burned,
But there were lessons learned, lessons learned.

Some wise words and some foolish ones

Voltaire, a French novelist and philosopher once said that everything too stupid to be said was sung. What are some of the srupidest lyrics you have ever heard?

Hooray for Band Tour!!

So tonight a few of us got a taste of what it's going to be like on that 14 hour trip back home from Seattle. A few things we did was/were throw papers, target shoot with food, sing songs (camp and others) and erm... other stuffs. :D Anyway, since it's going to be a long time to and from Seattle, we oughta start planning now. Feel free to add stuffs!

Things to do on the bus:
1. Throw wads of paper at people
2. Tickle fight!
3. Sing camp songs
4. Sing as much of a musical as we possibly can (in the worst voices possible too!)
5. Get in water bottle fights
6. Do the wave!!

JUBILATION WEEK!!!

Last year, Jubilation Week was observed, but not really celebrated. This year will be different. I've totally got it all planned out (and yet am still open for ideas) So everyone be excited! Because surprises are also a major happiness, I am definately not going to tell you all of my plans! But I will faithfully list the days as they have already happened, and perhaps a vague outline of the future days so that you can see how it's progressing :D For to send ideas for more ways to celebrate, write email to: orangypineapple@gmail.com kai kai?

  • Thursday, the Twenty-Sixth of January. Day 1 : A day of Jollification Mostly an introduction day in order to get everyone especially excited. Some good stuff will be given out, and the purpose of Jubilation week will probably be stated again and again. Marching Band party that day!
  • Friday, the Twenty-Seventh of January. Day 2: A day of Festivity This is the day it really gets started. No School! So awesome. More good stuff will be given out.
  • Saturday, the Twenty-Eight of January. Day 3: A day of Frolic No school again! This day, there's going to be some definate frolic and exciting things going on, and, as always, some good stuff given out. This frolic will NOT inlclude homework of any sort. So...yeah
  • Sunday, the Twenty-Ninth of January. Day 4: A day of Solemnization This day I hope we can all take a more gospel-centered apprach to the happiness of the season, and I'm definately going to be doing a lot of thanking for friends, family, etc. I will also be resting up for the last legs of the week
  • Monday, the Thirtieth of January. Day 5: A day of Hilarity. Mondays are hard. Hopefully we'll be able to make it just a little better, and I will do my very best by handing out double the good stuff to make up for none being given the day before. It'll also be early out, woot!
  • Tuesday, the Thirty-First of January. Day 6: A day of Hullabaloo. More great stuff will go on, and even if you are not included in the initial stages of this hilarity, you're definately going to feel the effects of it. There will also be more good stuff be given out. And exciting things going on too..
  • Wednesday, the First of February. Day 7: A day of Conviviality. This is the last official day of Jubilation Week, and hopefully will hold the best of the whole week. More good stuffage will be handed out.
  • Thursday, the Second of February. Day 8: A day of Keeping. I had to finish out the week, and an odd 8 days is always fun anyway. This'll be a day to try to remind myself to be happy through the whole year, even if it's not quite as happy as during Jubilation Week. And, can you guess what else? More good stuff will be given out.

During the whole week, there will also be SMILES and HUGS and HANDSHAKING and all other sorts of HAPPINESS. It's going to be an awesome experience. If everyone tries to make it fun, it will be.

Preference again

It was so much fun! I got to know Grant a ton better, he is so funny. And he was such a gentleman, even though it was a girl's choice. And he's a good dancer too; he led very well. It was great to see everyone having a good time with their dates, and with other people's dates. I can't wait until the next dance :D

Preference!

hey guys!
Tonight is the annual Preference dance! I'm pretty sure that everyone involved with this blog is going, so everyone HAS to post at least a "little something something" about their date. I will, don't worry :D
